Job Description

D & L Engineering Service Pty Ltd is a well-established Structural Steel & Pipe Fabrication Company, are currently seeking experienced Pipe Welders to join our team immediately. This is an exciting opportunity to drive growth in our business
Positions available immediately for long term Sydney based Projects.
FULL TIME - Salary $70000 to $75000 PA

Experienced candidates are being sought with the following trade qualification and or skill sets:
Pipe Welders/ Boilermakers/ Fabricators

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to your workshop/area supervisor you will be required to work autonomously and within a manufacturing team to assist in the fabrication and assembly of components.

Assemble and install metal pipes and pipe fittings for stainless and carbon steel projects
Use clamps, brackets, and hangers to secure pipes to structures
Remove slags and rough spots from workpieces by operating grinders or scrapers to ensure smooth work surface
Employ your knowledge of metallurgy to determine materials and equipment most suitable for a welding project
Clean and prepare workpieces using chemical solutions etc. to remove foreign matter such as grease, rust etc.
Use heating furnaces to preheat metal pipes prior to welding or bending
Cut and shape metal components to set specifications using powersaws, chipping knives or other hand tools
Fill holes, cracks, and dents on metal workpieces or pipe products
Use micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring instruments to check gap allowances, grooves or angles
Assemble metal and non-metal pipes and pipe fitting using threading machine
Control and turn valves or regulators to adjust flames and ensure proper use of welding gas
Wear appropriate protective gear and ensure compliance with established health/safety regulations
Role requirements (mandatory):

Industry experience
A WHS white card
Certified Pipe Welders/Fabricators
Must be able to read and interpret detailed workshop/Isometric drawings
Pipe Welders will need to pass a test, the following procedures will be utilized TIG, MIG, Stick, STT and Flux Core. Must be experienced in welding stainless steel and carbon steel.
Must be capable of producing welds to ASME IX Class 1 Standard
Been previously Coded on pipe spools,
All positions must hold current Australian recognised qualifications and Licences as required to successfully fulfil
High Risk industry tickets favourable
Ability to complete various induction processes and clearance checks
Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and fitness test and a Drug & Alcohol screen
Positive attitude and a strong focus on safety
Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $37.50 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
