Position Title: Mechanical Engineer
Company: Morgan Metal Corp
Location: Wacol, QLD, Australia
Salary: $75,000- $80,000 per annum + Superannuation

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in planning, designing, and overseeing various aspects of our metal fabrication processes, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop specifications and designs for manufacturing mechanical equipment, components, and systems, tailored to client-specific requirements.
o Utilize CAD/CAM tools to program CNC machines for customized production runs, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
• Process Management:
o Plan, organize, and manage the flow of materials and production schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
o Oversee the assembly, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of mechanical and process plants and installations.
• Quality Assurance:
o Establish and implement standards and policies for quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
o Conduct inspections to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaboration and Coordination:
o Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to organize raw materials and schedule projects, ensuring alignment with production capabilities.
o Provide guidance and feedback to reduce waste and improve efficiency within the manufacturing process.
• Innovation and Improvement:
o Contribute to product design innovation and improvement, ensuring compliance with relevant manufacturing standards.
o Utilize simulation software to validate designs and processes before implementation.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in a mechanical engineering role within the metal fabrication industry for at least 1 year.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and CNC machine programming.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
