Job Description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities? We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Staff to join our team within the Canterbury region, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them live independently and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide social support, and companionship to individuals with disabilities.
• Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, domestic duties and medication management.
• Support clients with mobility, transportation, and social activities.
• Empower clients to live as independently as possible, fostering dignity and respect.
• Assist with light household duties and community engagement.
Requirements:
• Minimum Qualification: Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent within Australia.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Current NDIS screening check and WWCC.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable car with insurance for transportation of clients.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful attitude towards people with disabilities.
• Honest, reliable, and committed to work unsupervised in 1:1 environment.
• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in disability support is highly regarded.
• Clean Updated Police Certificate
• Verifiable work referees
• Must possess valid ABN.
• Immediate start would be ideal.
Desirable:
• Valid visa with full work rights
• Knowledge of disability support practices and NDIS guidelines.
• Experience with complex needs or behavioural support is a plus.
