Job Description
Position: Retail Manager
Salary: $73,500 to $75,000 + 11.5% superannuation
Hours: 38 hours
Mode: Full-time
Location: 194a Somerville Rd, Kingsville VIC 3012
Experience required: Minimum 1 year of experience in relevant roles.

Kingsville License Post Office is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Manager to oversee daily operations and lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional service. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of retail, postal services, and financial products, we want to hear from you!
The candidate in mind will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:
• Oversee the promotion and sales of Australia Post’s diverse offerings, including postal services (domestic and international mail), parcel solutions, financial services, retail products (such as gift cards, stationery, and collectibles), and business solutions.
• Ensure optimal stock levels of postal supplies, prepaid products, and retail item.
• Monitor and manage customer preferences, adjusting product offerings as necessary to meet demand.
• Provide high-quality service to customers, assisting with postal and retail products, including postage services, banking, and e-commerce solutions.
• Train staff to offer expert advice on products such as gift cards, money orders, and passport services.
• Drive customer satisfaction through effective resolution of issues, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere in the post office.
• Coordinate promotional campaigns for seasonal or special products like stamps, collectibles, and exclusive offers.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the post office, ensuring smooth service delivery and maximum efficiency in processes.
• Control budgets and ensure profitability while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Implement training for staff on new Australia Post products and services, including postal, banking, and business services.
• Ensure the post office complies with all regulatory and safety requirements, including Australia Post’s operational standards and workplace safety regulations.
Qualifications:
• Diploma of Business management or equivalent (Preferred but not mandatory).
Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience in retail or service management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in financial management, stock control, and budgeting.
