One of our clients Khambral Projects Pty Ltd is looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join their team. This role involves preparing, modifying, and reviewing technical drawings and plans for civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) software, a solid understanding of civil engineering principles, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality designs.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop initial drafts and detailed technical drawings for walls, windows, doors, plumbing, sewerage, and electrical.
Customise building structures internally and externally as per customer’s demand
Develop 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar CAD software.
Ensure designs comply with engineering principles, industry standards, and local regulations.
Prepare topographic maps, and contour drawings based on survey data.
Assist engineers in calculating dimensions, elevations, slopes, and material requirements.
Interpret work assignment instructions, apply appropriate procedures, and select equipment for tasks.
Collect and analyze data, performing necessary engineering computations.
Estimate material costs and ensure finished works comply with specifications, regulations, and contract provisions.
Verify that drawings and plans adhere to local building codes, engineering regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Maintain accuracy and consistency in all design documents.
Conduct self-checks and quality control of drawings to identify and correct errors.
Ensure drawings align with project scope, timelines, and budget constraints.
Inspect civil engineering works and organize and supervise maintenance and repair work.
Coordinate with contractors and site personnel to ensure designs are understood and executed accurately.
Maintain an organized database of drawings, plans, and engineering documents.
Ensure all design changes and revisions are properly documented and archived.
Provide support in preparing as-built drawings and final project documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Requirements:

Diploma or Advance Diploma in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
Certification in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other CAD software is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, or similar).
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction materials, and structural elements.
Ability to interpret engineering plans, blueprints, and survey reports.

Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Effective communication skills to interact with engineers, clients, and contractors.

Preferred Experience:
1-2 years of experience in civil engineering drafting or a related field.
Previous exposure to construction site environments and fieldwork is beneficial.
