Civil Engineering Draftsperson
We are Mansys Pty Ltd, recruitment consultants. Our client, Empower Constructions, is actively looking for a Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join its team on a full-time basis to be placed at their office in Norwest, NSW 2153. The business specializes in external wall solutions, including Hebel installation, rendering, and painting services. They cater to commercial, industrial, and residential projects, offering high-quality cladding and facade installations.
Position Overview
Assist in developing lightweight cladding designs and technical plans for residential and commercial structures, ensuring compliance with construction and engineering standards. The role requires skills in drafting, structural analysis, and liaising with stakeholders, fulfilling both project-specific and regulatory compliance needs. Having these technical and collaborative expertise is essential for Empower Construction’s niche offering in lightweight cladding solutions.
Main Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings and plans for construction projects, including Hebel installations and lightweight cladding in residential and commercial structures.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop accurate designs and ensure compliance with Australian building codes and Empower Construction’s safety and quality standards.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create precise 2D and 3D representations of project components.
• Conducting accurate calculations for cladding material quantities, dimensions, and positioning.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Interpret architectural drawings, analyse potential technical challenges, and address them early in the design process.
• Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates and project timelines by providing detailed drawings and material specifications.
• Conduct site visits to gather data, verify measurements, and ensure designs align with actual site conditions.
• Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and Empower Construction's quality standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to incorporate specific requirements into the design plans.

Must Have

• Advanced Diploma in Civil Construction Design from an Australian institution
• Two Years of relevant Australian experience as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson


Skills Required

• Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting tools
• Building trust and understanding client expectations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying design concepts to stakeholders
• Team Collaboration for working effectively with cross-functional teams
• Effectively manage deadlines while maintaining high quality work

Successful candidate would be paid a base salary between A$100,000 to A$120,000 plus Superannuation.
