Retail Manager
We are Mansys Pty Ltd, recruitment consultants. Our client, Pearl Energy No 1 Pty Ltd T/A Pearl Energy Mayfield, is actively looking for a Retail Manager to join its team on a full-time basis to be placed at their Petrol station site at 132 Maitland Road, Mayfield, NSW 2304. The business is an emerging Australian petroleum retailer providing quality fuels, lubricants, and convenience services across multiple locations in Australia.
Position Overview
Pearl Energy No 1 Pty Ltd T/A Pearl Energy Mayfield is seeking a full-time Retail Manager for its service station located at 132 Maitland Road, Mayfield NSW 2304. The role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, monitoring inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Retail Manager will be responsible for implementing company policies, maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, and driving sales performance. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and retail management experience are essential to ensure efficient site operation and enhance the station’s overall profitability and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities of the role are-
• Manage the smooth operation of the store and pump
• Choosing the items to be sold at store and introduce and/ or discontinue items for sale.
• Deciding the sale price for the items and preparing pricing/discount deals based on market scenario and implementing sales/marketing measures.
• Reconcile cash deposit banking.
• Managing stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring the timely restocking of goods.
• Dealing with suppliers on regular basis, evaluating supplies and negotiating pricing.
• Provide solutions to challenges like change in profit, employee conflicts, and increased competition.
• Addressing customer concerns efficiently to maintain service quality and satisfaction.
• Overseeing financial operations, monitoring expenses, and ensuring the business operates within the allocated budget.
• Training and supervising staff to enhance performance and maintain workplace efficiency.
• Managing daily operations, handling paperwork, and ensuring compliance with business policies.
• Implementing strategies to improve store performance and customer engagement.
• Preparing of Promotional materials and displays.
• Organizing work rosters to ensure optimal staff coverage and productivity.
• Undertaking recruitment activities for hiring employees
• Perform occupational evaluation report, maintaining OH&S.
Must Have –
• Relevant qualification in Business/Management.
• Australian study would be given preference.
• 3 years of full time Australian experience as Store Manager in service station
Skills Needed –
• Good communication Skills
• IT Literate
• Project management (to undertake mini projects from time to time)
• Negotiation skills especially with suppliers
• Inventory management
Successful candidate will be on an annual salary of 75,000-85,000 Plus Superannuation.
