Job Description

The Australian Institute of Leadership and Safety (AILS) is seeking passionate and experienced First Aid Trainers to deliver the nationally recognised HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid course on a sessional basis. Operating across the Eastern Suburbs of Victoria, this role is ideal for qualified trainers who are committed to delivering high-quality, engaging, and compliant first aid training to a range of learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and compliant training sessions in HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, including CPR and basic emergency life support, in accordance with AILS and national standards.
• Facilitate both theoretical and practical components of the training, ensuring all learning styles are supported.
• Assess participants against unit requirements using compliant tools and practices.
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
• Represent AILS professionally and uphold the RTO’s values and quality standards.
• Travel to and deliver training at various client sites and training venues within the Eastern Suburbs of Victoria.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or its successor.
• Current accreditation to deliver HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid (including HLTAID009 & HLTAID010).
• Hold and maintain a current First Aid certificate and CPR competency.
• Recent and relevant industry experience in a first aid or emergency response role.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage diverse learner groups and manage training environments effectively.
• Access to reliable transport and willingness to travel across the Eastern Suburbs.

Desirable:

• Previous experience working with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
• Familiarity with AVETMISS reporting and RTO compliance requirements.
• Experience with adult education or corporate training environments.

Remunerations:

• $65 per hour, with a minimum payment of 4 hours per session, regardless of delivery time.
• Sessions may run up to 7 hours per day, depending on course structure and delivery needs.
