Position: Cook
Salary: $75,000 to $80,000 base salary per year plus Superannuation
Hours: Full-Time

At our restaurant in St. Leonards, we seek to employ a motivated and reliable fulltime cook. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting the food in accordance with our menu and quality standards. The role involves working as part of a team to ensure efficient kitchen operations, maintaining food hygiene and safety standards, and delivering consistent, high-quality meals to customers in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook dishes according to set recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines from the chef/s.
• Ensure the smooth and timely preparation of meals.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels of ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as required.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and gas stoves.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment in accordance with Food Safety Standards.
• Store food items properly, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO) and labelling.
• Comply with all workplace health and safety regulations.
• Adapt to changing menus, dietary requirements, and customer preferences.

Apply if you have:
• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training or AQF Certificate IV, or at least three years of relevant experience in absence of formal qualifications.
• At least 1-year full-time equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Sound knowledge of basic key ingredients, spices, cooking techniques, and popular Modern Australian or Mod Oz recipes.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a busy kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
