About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Diesel Motor Mechanic with proven hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing diesel engines and associated components. The role will involve working on heavy vehicles, plant equipment, and commercial diesel machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical faults in diesel engines and systems.
• Performing routine maintenance, servicing, and overhaul of engines and mechanical components.
• Dismantling and rebuilding engine and transmission systems.
• Testing and adjusting mechanical parts for proper performance.
• Conducting road tests and safety checks to verify fault rectification.
• Using diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Ensuring all work complies with safety, environmental, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintaining accurate service records and reporting on mechanical issues.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure timely and efficient job completion.
Skills and Experience:
• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant hands-on experience.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals.
• Proficiency with diesel engine systems, including transmissions, hydraulics, and brakes.
• Competent in using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and within a team.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and quality workmanship.
