Position Description:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team at Khanz Auto Hub. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of used vehicles in our car yard, both those purchased for resale and those that are part of our fleet management solutions.
The salary for this position ranges from $76,500 to $77,500 per year plus superannuation, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Job Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle components using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Disassemble and examine engines, transmissions, steering systems, and other components to identify wear or defects.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn parts, referring to service manuals for precision and accuracy.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Reassemble engines and components after repairs, verifying proper alignment and functionality.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to confirm reliable and efficient performance.
• Utilize computer-based diagnostic tools to accurately identify issues and validate component functionality.
• Perform pre-purchase vehicle inspections and safety checks.
• Purchase required parts and accessories for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Service and repair vehicle cooling systems and suspension systems.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant full-time work experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Proven experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
• Ability to interpret service manuals and technical diagrams.
• Familiarity with computerized diagnostic systems and repair databases.
• High attention to detail, reliability, and time management.
• Valid Australian driver’s license.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
