We are seeking a dedicated Telecommunications Technical Officer or Technologist to join our professional team in Ingleburn, NSW.
Role
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications equipment and networks to ensure optimal performance for our clients. You will work closely with our technical team to deliver projects efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
• Install, configure, and test telecommunications systems, including optical fibre, copper, and wireless networks.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in telecommunications hardware, software, and network configurations.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to minimise downtime.
• Operate and maintain specialised telecommunications testing equipment.
• Prepare and update technical documentation, test results, and reports.
• Assist in the design and implementation of network upgrades and expansions.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and junior technicians as required.
Skills & Qualifications
• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of fibre optic and copper network systems, wireless communications, and related technologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to travel to client sites as required.
Salary & Location
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation (commensurate with experience).
Location: MJI Group, Ingleburn NSW 2565.
Permanent full-time position.
