Position: Restaurant Manager
Salary: $73,150 to $78,150 plus 11.5% super
Hours: 38 hours
Mode: Full time
Location: 22 Sutherland Street, Melbourne VIC 3000

Are you a hospitality professional looking to lead a dynamic team in one of Melbourne’s most exciting Asian fusion restaurants? Yum Sing House is searching for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to join our team in the heart of Melbourne CBD.

Yum Sing House is a modern Asian fusion restaurant located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, renowned for its vibrant dining atmosphere and innovative cuisine. We are committed to delivering exceptional customer service, memorable dining experiences, and fostering a dynamic, inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:
• Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including managing reservations, supervising front-of-house and kitchen teams, and ensuring smooth service.
• Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of servers, chefs, and support staff. Create staff schedules, manage shifts, and ensure team collaboration.
• Customer Service: Ensure a positive dining experience for all customers, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
• Financial Management: Monitor budgets, control operational costs, manage inventory, and ensure profitability through effective cost control and financial planning.
• Menu Planning: Collaborate with the head chefs to plan and develop innovative menus that align with the restaurant’s vision, seasonal trends, and customer preferences.
• Compliance: Ensure the restaurant complies with all health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and liquor licensing laws.
• Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to implement promotions, special events, and campaigns that enhance the restaurant’s visibility and customer engagement.
• Supplier Management: Build relationships with suppliers, ensuring the restaurant has consistent access to high-quality ingredients and other necessary resources.
• Problem-Solving: Handle any unexpected issues or emergencies in a calm and effective manner, ensuring minimal disruption to the business.
Qualifications:
• Diploma of Hospitality Management (Preferred but not mandatory).
Other Skills and Requirements:
• At least 2 years of previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, especially within an Asian or fusion cuisine setting.
• Experience in menu planning and collaborating with chefs to create innovative and appealing dishes.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a commitment to creating a positive dining experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
