Job Description

Position Description:
We are seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with architects and designers to develop detailed drawings and plans for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

•     Draft plans and detailed drawings for steel structures

•     Draw maps, diagrams and profiles using cross-sections and surveys to represent elevations, topographical contours, subsurface formations and structures

•     Correlate, interpret and modify data obtained by topographical surveys, well logs and geophysical reports

•     Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction, using blueprinting, photography or other duplicating methods

•     Review sketches, drawings and specifications received from civil engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts

•     Determine order of work and method of presentation including orthographic or isometric drawing

•     Calculate excavation tonnage and prepare graphs for fill-hauling diagrams for use in earth-moving operations

•     Explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary

•     Calculate weights, volumes and stress factors and their implications for technical aspects of designs

•     Use computer assisted drafting systems (CAD) to produce drawings

•     Determine quality, cost, strength and quantity of required materials

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $76,000.00 per year
