Position: Radiocommunication Technician
Salary: $73,150 plus 11.5% super
Hours: 40 hours
Mode: Full time
Location: unit 6/370 Stuart Hwy, Winnellie NT 0820

Techno Services Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Radiocommunication Technician to join our team. If you have a passion for telecommunications and are eager to work with cutting-edge technology, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic and growing company.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Install, configure, and commission microwave, telemetry, multiplexing, satellite, and other radio communication systems.
• Ensure all systems are correctly integrated with existing network infrastructure and operate efficiently.
• Perform regular maintenance checks on communication systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Diagnose and repair any faults or issues in the communication systems to minimize downtime.
• Integrate telecommunications technology with existing computer systems, including software, hardware, and peripherals.
• Ensure seamless integration of new technology with existing systems to optimize network performance.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, parts, and inventory, detailing their status and locations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex telecommunications networks and equipment.
• Offer expert advice and guidance to internal teams and external clients on maintaining and optimizing communication systems.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of equipment, parts, inventory, and their locations.
• Document communication policies, procedures, guidelines, regulations, and quality standards to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Continuously monitor the performance of telecommunications networks and equipment.
• Identify and address potential issues before they escalate, ensuring uninterrupted service.
• Assist in planning and developing customer access telecommunications network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement network solutions that meet current and future needs.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, service providers, and external resources to ensure the timely delivery of services and products.
• Monitor contractual obligations and evaluate the performance of external partners to ensure they meet quality and service standards.
• Provide ongoing operational support in designing, optimizing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and resolving telecommunications network performance issues.
• Address network malfunctions, defects, and faults promptly to maintain service quality.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:
• Relevant qualifications in telecommunications technology or a related field, such as a Certificate III or IV in Telecommunications Technology. (Preferred but not mandatory).
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Radio Technician or in a similar role, with proven expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of radiocommunication systems.
