Job Description

We are looking for multiple full time qualified Chefs at the Wangaratta RSL in Wangaratta VIC 3677.

Ideally suitable for applicants with flexibility and ability to lead team.

Consideration will be given for those looking to relocate and meet minimum commitments; competitive salary offered and appropriate alignment to Fair Work conditions.

The job description for chef is as follows and it is not an exhaustive list:

· Menu planning, estimating food and labour costs with the head chef.

· Preparing and cooking menu items, making specials on a monthly basis.

· Training and supervision of apprentices and less experienced staff.

· Adhering to, explaining and enforcing of hygiene regulations.

· Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.

· Delegation of tasks to other kitchen team members

· Supervise Cooks and assist as needed.

· Monitor food stock with Head Chef.

· Discuss food preparation issues with Managers, and kitchen and waiting staff.

· Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

What are we looking for?

· Consideration of 4 years relevant work experience

· Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen management

· Strong knowledge of kitchen methods, equipment and practises

· Ability to work unsupervised and in a team.

· Understanding of OH&S and food hygiene requirements.

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

These are full-time permanent jobs, and salary is $73,300 per year plus mandatory super.
