Job Description

Our Client TASFOODS LTD - ABN 53 084 800 902 – Located in Launceston, TAS is seeking a Full-time worker for the position of Production Manager (Manufacturing) for between $110,000 - $120,000 a year.

DUTIES:
• Develop, implement, and monitor production strategies, policies, and operational plans to align with business goals.
• Plan production activities, focusing on output quality, quantity, cost efficiency, timelines, and workforce needs.
• Oversee the operation of production facilities, ensuring maintenance schedules, operating hours, and supply of tools and parts are effectively planned and executed.
• Manage production processes to achieve desired output levels and quality standards.
• Track production performance metrics, including output and costs, and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and reduce expenses.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality.
• Coordinate with other managers and departments to address production-related matters and support overall business objectives.
• Communicate effectively across teams to ensure smooth operational workflows.
• Supervise the selection, acquisition, and installation of new equipment and machinery.
• Lead research initiatives to improve production methods and recommend innovative solutions to enhance productivity.
• Oversee the preparation and management of production records, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting for operational reviews.
• Ensure occupational health and safety requirements are implemented and adhered to throughout the production environment.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of production staff, providing guidance and support to maximize performance.
• Monitor employee performance and address training or development needs to foster a skilled and motivated workforce.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Proven 2 years’ prior experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in production management software and tools.
• Driver’s License.
• Relevant qualifications.
Salary:
$110,000.00 Annual
